BIOGRAPHY
Jank 1000 was a suburban pop punk band originally formed in late 1998, in the suburbs of Omaha, NE. The band's original lineup consisted of Matty Lewis on lead vocals and guitar, bassist Danny Isgro and drummer Jake Horrocks. The band were known for their combined catchy, hook filled songs with clever and intelligent lyrics.
Matty Lewis, eventually ended his run with Jank 1000 when after their eventual breakup in 2003, he joined the band Zebrahead in 2005 as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist to replace Justin Mauriello.
DISCOGRAPHY
Jank 1000 released "Suburban Punks Are Go!!" in 1999 and was received well by their local music scene, and found a place on the Homers Top 10, and the lead single, Misty 540 was a hit almost immediately, and was played on the local radio stations, such as KIWR and KTNP.
In 2000, Jank 1000 released their first independent CD, "My Love Notes and Her Death Threats..." and gained recognition from The Album Network as a Regional Best Seller. Both of the band's releases were local chart toppers, and were the biggest band in Omaha. Soon, the gained the recognition of a wider audience and started growing their fanbase.
HISTORY
In 2001, Jank gained the attention of Singerman Entertainment, an artist management company, and through this new connection, Jank 1000 broke out of Omaha and soon made their way into the Southern California Punk scene and even found themselves a few selective spots on the Vans Warped Tour.
Though, sadly in 2003 Jank 1000 would set to part ways, due to prevailing difficulties among members, creatively.
