BIOGRAPHY
MEST is an American Punk band originally formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Tony Lovato, bassist Matt Lovato, drummer Nick Gigler, and guitarist Jeremiah Rangel. MEST has gone through several different members of different roles over the years. They broke up in 2006 after eleven years, but temporarily reformed in California in 2008 for a final tour.
MEST has played with many different members; The original line up was Tony Lovato, Matt Lovato, Nick Gigler, and Jeremiah Rangel, from 1995 until the breakup in 2006. When they came back in 2008, drummer, Nick Gilger was replaced by Chris Wilson. Steve Lovato and soon after, Brandon Stewart to take up the bass, Mike Longworth on Lead Guitar, Richie Gonzalez would take the drums, and Adrian Estrella would take on Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals. Until 2016, when the original line up would come back together in an epic reunion.
DISCOGRAPHY
MEST began their discography in 1998 with a 23-track album titled "Mo' Money Mo' 40z" Produced by Bernie Mack and self-released, exploring genres like Pop-Punk, Ska and Ska-Punk, and Reggae.
Their first debut album, "Wasting Time" was released on Maverick Records in 2000. With break-out single "What's The Dillio?".
Wasting Time was then followed a year later by "Destination Unknown" in 2001, spear-headed by their lead single "Cadillac" that became an instant hit among many Pop-Punk circles.
After 2 years, MEST released "MEST" in 2003, that landed the Top 100 Billboard charts in Punk Music and gave way for hits like "Rooftops" and debuted the album on the 2003 edition of Vans Warped Tour.
Photographs was the 5th and final studio album MEST released before breaking up in 2006, after dropping from the Social Distortion Tour, due to issues regarding drummer, Nick Gilger and prevailing creative differences.
